Who’s Who: Kirt Gill, MD

Kirt Gill’s motivation is driven by personal experiences with stroke survivors. As a medical doctor and CEO of a medical device company, he aims to develop solutions for lasting improvements. NeuraStasis, co-founded by Gill and Joe Upchurch in 2021, addresses rehabilitation plateaus with a non-invasive brain-stimulation device targeting trigeminal and vagus nerves, offering hope for patients with residual disabilities. The award underscores Dr. Gill’s commitment to improving stroke survivors’ lives.

Dr. Gill’s medical journey began at the University of Southern California, followed by radiology at the University of Texas Southwestern. His early research on neurological drug delivery using ultrasound led to the idea for NeuraStasis during his Biodesign Fellowship at Texas Medical Center.
