Matthew served as likely the youngest Chair in the history of the State Bar of Texas Immigration & Nationality Law Section, after which he was appointed by the President of the State Bar of Texas to serve as Vice Chair of the Committee on Laws Relating to Immigration and Nationality. He also serves as the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Liaison to U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Laredo, TX, the largest U.S. land border Port of Entry.
