Getting Data from the Bench to the Cloud: Architecting GxP-Compliant Data Lakes for Modern Research Labs
April 22 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Free Life sciences laboratories face significant challenges in securely transferring, storing, and analyzing the data generated during research while maintaining regulatory compliance. This workshop will demonstrate leveraging AWS’s Digital Connected Lab architecture to build GxP-compliant data lakes that bridge the gap between laboratory instruments and advanced cloud capabilities. Participants will learn practical strategies for implementing a modern data infrastructure that ensures data integrity, traceability, and security AND have the opportunity to bring their own challenges to be discussed in an open-ended whiteboard session.
Workshop Overview
Aaron Jeskey, Principal Architect at Pinnacle Technology Partners, will guide attendees through the process of establishing secure data pipelines from laboratory instruments to AWS cloud environments.
The session will cover:
- Automated data collection methodologies
- Integration with electronic lab notebooks (ELN) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Implementation of proper metadata management
- Optimization of storage solutions using services like Amazon S3 and AWS DataSync.
Participants will gain insights into how digitally connected labs:
- Enhance collaboration
- Enable remote access to data
- Provide the foundation for implementing AI/ML capabilities
Open-Ended Whiteboard Session & Office Hours:
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own data infrastructure and pipeline challenges
