BioMedSA’s Project Manager Intern

BioMedSA has welcomed Project Manager Intern, Krystal Harris, to the team. She is managing the implementation of the Innovation Award Event, under direction from the President, Heather Hanson, and the Innovation Award Committee, led by co-chairs, Shawn Hughes (Broadway Bank) and Bob Hutchins (StemBioSys). She has also led the effort for a school supply drive for the students at Sarah King Elementary School in SAISD.

Harris is also a part of City Year. City Year is a AmeriCorps organization that gives students the opportunity to realize their full potential by mentoring, being a role model, and giving emotional support throughout the school year. Last year, she worked with students at Sam Houston High School; and, during the upcoming 2021-22 school year, she will be working with students at Davis Middle School. Through City Year, she is developing leadership skills while serving the community.

Harris is originally from Houston, TX, where she received her B.S. in Health Administration from Texas Southern University. Her long term goal is to run an urgent care clinic in an under-served community, understanding that people need healthcare close to their homes.
