A new addition to Biofest Week this year, Biofest Tours, enabled attendees to visit 5 key assets in the San Antonio life science ecosystem: Southwest Research Institute, Texas Biomedical Research Institute, BioBridge Global, NVision, and VelocityTX. Participants learned more about these organizations, including laboratory tours. With a full roster and a waitlist, BioMedSA welcomed participants from Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Florida, Austin and California. Post tour feedback was excellent as attendees indicated they would not only recommend this tour to others, but would return to get a glimpse of other bioscience facilities and organizations in San Antonio.
One participant stated, ‘The strong partnership between BioMedSA and the companies we toured was obvious. There seemed to be a remarkable synergy that only years of partnership and trust could build. It was truly an amazing day that was so well organized. As a former economic development director, I am no stranger to tours such as this one and it is without a doubt one of the best I have attended.”
