They are pioneering therapeutic bioconjugates using biomarker-based diagnostics to target unexpected waves of brain molecules in the blood to help patients with neurological and neurodegenerative diseases such as, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, post-traumatic epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and chronic traumatic encephalopathy. STAR Park is a 58-acre site on the campus of Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. The 36,000 square foot facility serves as a technology incubator, helping start-ups and early-stage businesses with access to secure wet labs, clean space, conference rooms, and office space. The facility was designed to foster the collaborative development of new commercial ventures in applied research and help students generate early-stage startups.
