Introduction to Microencapsulation: Overview and Tour

This event will introduce participants to microencapsulation and its expanding role in biomanufacturing. Attendees will gain an overview of key microencapsulation technologies and how they support controlled delivery, stability, and scalability in biotechnology and life science manufacturing.
The program will include a guided tour of Southwest Research Institute’s microencapsulation facilities, providing a firsthand look at applied research and pilot‑scale capabilities. The event will highlight how microencapsulation bridges innovation and commercialization, supporting the development and manufacturing of next‑generation bioproducts.
