🎉 Biofest Days 2025: Learn, Invest, and Build

Texas is once again taking center stage in the biomedical world with Biofest Days 2025, a two-week celebration of innovation, collaboration, and discovery in the life sciences. Scheduled from April 14–25, this dynamic festival invited local, regional, and national organizations to host events that spotlight the biomedical industry’s impact on health, technology, and the economy.

What is BioFest Days?
Organized by BioMedSA, Biofest Days is a collaborative platform that brings together startups, investors, researchers, healthcare professionals, and the public. Events are hosted by individual organizations and collaboratively promoted/marketed. It’s strategically timed to overlap with Fiesta San Antonio, allowing attendees to experience both the cutting-edge of science and the rich cultural heritage of the city.

Nearly 20 events were held in 2025, the 2nd year of Biofest Days:

  A branding workshop designed to help innovators craft compelling investor pitches.

  The experts at Southwest Research Institute provided details on each stage in the journey from drug discovery to market.
• Getting Data from the Bench to the Cloud: Architecting GxP-Compliant Data Lakes for Modern Research Labs (April 22)
  Life sciences laboratories face significant challenges in securely transferring, storing, and analyzing data. This data driven workshop was hosted to discover how AWS-powered digital lab strategies can transform research capabilities.

• How to Invest in Life Science Startups (April 22)
  An investment session to demystify and clarify opportunities to invest in Life Science startups.
• Biofest Invest (April 23)
  San Antonio’s premier biomedical startup event, connecting startups, investors, and resource providers. The full-day conference featured panel sessions, a pitch competition open to all Texas startups, a resource expo hall, and a networking happy hour.
