BioMedSA’s Board of Directors approved 7 new memberships in November, 2022: Community Labs, Medtech Reactor, Rochal Technologies, The Institute for Extracorporeal Life Support, Medwheels, Estancia del Norte Hotel and DoubleTree by Hilton San Antonio Airport, and Holly Stein Residential Realtor.
Community Labs is a non-profit organization that was founded to keep San Antonio schools and companies open during the COVID-19 pandemic through large volume, rapid turnaround PCR-based testing. They are now pivoting to their next stage of development, exploring new molecular based diagnostics research and associated services.
Medtech Reactor (Austin, Texas) helps startups translate health technology innovation into commercialized products. They work with startups to provide mentorship, capital, and connections to investors and business partners as the startup moves from early-stage to commercialization, and leverage their shared resources, such as legal, accounting, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, etc.
Rochal Technologies is the Research and Development Division for Sanara MedTech, which purchased certain assets from Rochal Industries in July of 2021. Rochal Technologies is focused on developing wound and skin care products and advancing their innovation from concept through commercialization.
The Institute for Extracorporeal Life Support (IELS) specializes in the research, education, and training of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) administration. They are dedicate to improving patient outcomes by providing healthcare professionals with a systematic approach to ECMO management.
Medwheels is a national family operated medical equipment distributor that was established in 2005. The company provides medical equipment to fire departments, hospitals, schools, companies, and governmental agencies. Medwheels has access to products in the areas of: respiratory, ambulatory, pre-hospital, safety & emergency, diabetes, and others.
Estancia del Norte Hotel and DoubleTree by Hilton San Antonio Airport are upscale hotels owned by Presidian Hotels & Resorts hospitality management group. Owners and upper management for the hotels are interested in getting more involved in the flourishing life science scene of San Antonio by offering a discount to all BioMedSA members.
Holly Stein is a San Antonio residential real estate expert who assists clients with relocation needs as well as building personal portfolios through investment properties.
