BioMedSA’s Board of Directors approved 5 new memberships in May, 2022: Individual member James Casey Jr., Norton Rose Fulbright, KGB Texas Communications, Proxima Clinical Research, and CM Formulations Inc.
James Casey Jr. recently moved back to San Antonio from Fort Myers, Florida where he was the Interim Associate Vice President for Research and Sponsored Programs at Florida Gulf Coast University. Casey specializes in legal agreements pertaining to grants and contract work and has worked for a number of academic institutions over his 20 plus year career, including a stint at the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA). Licensed to practice law in the State and Federal courts of Wisconsin since 1990, Casey is active in the State Bar of Wisconsin and American Bar Association and is a State Bar of Wisconsin delegate to the ABA House of Delegates and vice-chair of the ePrivacy Law Committee. Moving back to San Antonio, Casey wanted to be a part of the growing healthcare and bioscience community and sees tremendous opportunity in this sector of San Antonio’s economy.

CM Formulations Inc. is a San Antonio start-up that has uncovered a chemical formula with highly absorbent mineral formulations that can be used in medical and agricultural applications. The have licensed their technology to a 3rd party for Agricultural use. The company’s initial product is an over-the-counter lotion.
